Pour Out My Heart Winds of Worship #06 Hallelujah Glory
Live From Southern California

Generous Man

(Michael Hanson)

He comes upon a place of famine
      With food in His hands
And people come from miles around
      They have heard
They want to meet this generous man

They’re not worthy, they can’t pay
But still He opens His hands

He comes upon a place of sickness
      With healing in His hands
And people come from miles around
      They have heard
They want to meet this generous man

And they’re not worthy, and they can’t pay
But still He opens His hands

        You give it away
        You give it away
        Lord come give it away
        Come give it away

    Additional spontaneous lyrics:
You are so generous, help us believe it
You are so generous, help us believe it
You are so generous, help us believe it
You are so generous, please help us believe it
    Help us believe it

You know I have a three-year-old son, and I love him a lot.
And he asks me for everything. Every time a Harley-Davidson goes by he asks me ”Daddy can I have a Harley-Davidson?”
He asks for all the outrageous stuff.
One day, you know, I was praying and God said ”That’s how I want you to be with Me”. Like a little boy who doesn’t think ”well a Harley-Davidson’s really expensive so why would I bother asking my Dad for it, I know he can’t afford it.”
But, you know, I’m a sinner, and sometimes I’m not a very good father, but I’d give anything to my son. I think that’s what God’s saying right now. That He is a generous Father, and yet we’re not worthy, and we‘ll never be able to pay Him back. But He just gives it away.

    Help us believe it.
You are so generous. Help us believe it
You are so generous. Help us believe it
You are so generous. Help us believe it
    Help us believe it
    Help us believe it
    Help us believe it
